Are There Any Other Ways I Can Earn A Commission Share?
Yes. There are currently three other basic ways in which you can earn a cashback commission from Pastplaces. Pastplaces is basically as its name implies a web site about places, people and events from the distant or recent past. We are keen to have loads of original, informative, entertaining and educational content on the site. As a result we will reward members who provide the site with good content in the following ways:
- You can earn commission by setting up a Public Membership Page which lists all of your place listings and images. Internet visitors who click on the text based shopping links on the right hand side of this page and subsequently make a purchase are tracked by your Pastplaces membership number. Validated sales are then awarded commissions.
Example Public Membership Page
All we ask is that your content contributions to your Public Membership Page needs to be detailed, interesting, original or informative. It is in your own interest to add loads of original material on places or events. The more you add, the more likely you are to earn a commission share. Minimal, entries added just to gain a commission page will be removed.
- If you are a professional or amateur artist you can upload images of your artworks to earn additional revenue from them. Simply set up an artists biography page and upload examples of your works of art. Again, Internet visitors who click on the text based shopping links on the right hand side of this pages and subsequently make a purchase are tracked by your Pastplaces membership number. Validated sales are then awarded commissions.

So if pastplaces earns £100-00 then £25-00 of it is yours.
Recently Pastplaces has introduced a 50% revenue share on a number of shopping links.
So if pastplaces earns £100-00 then £50-00 of it is yours. Example: TigerDirect USA
Commissions vary from retailer to retailer and fluctuate from time to time. Some offer a fixed lump sum, others offer a percentage that can be anything from 1% up to in some cases 100% of the initial sign up fee for a service. In some cases the percentage awarded increases with the volume of business that Pastplaces sends to the retailer. Because of this fluid nature of commission structures we do not list each individual commission percentage against each retailer.
If Pastplaces receives a commission for a valid cashback click then you will receive your indicated share of that commission.
As a general rule, you will need to make your purchases online using the links indicated cashback links and arrange for the retailer to deliver your goods. Telephone orders or click and collect orders are not always awarded a commission from the retailer, and if the retailer does not award Pastplaces with its commission then we cannot award you a commission.
If you are making a purchase yourself, it is advisable to make your purchase on the same day that you click on the link. This is because some retail sites only award commissions on the day of the click. If you are not certain that you want to make your purchase the same day, then it is best to return to the cashback link page when you have made up your mind to purchase and click on the link again.
How Pastplaces Revenue Sharing Cashback Works
Firstly you will need to Register with Pastplaces as a free member and be logged on to the system, you will also need a Paypal account so that we can pay you. Once this is done you can start earning cashback.
When pastplaces commissions are awarded they will show up on your main membership page as pending.
Not all retailers notify us straight away that a sale is pending. Some can take a significant period of time before they confirm or reject the sale. As soon as the sale is reported to Pastplaces we will update your cashback pending balance. When the retailer pays Pastplaces for each individual transaction, which can in some instances take up to three or four months, we will set your transaction to confirmed. Once you confirmed total reaches £50 sterling or above we will pay you your commission via Paypal.
