Childscourt School
The Great Experiment
For those distant friends that may remember.
I attended Childscourt School ( Lattiford House )from sometime around late 1964 until about early 1970 or thereabouts. I would have been known at that time as either, Robert, Robby, Rob, Bobby, Bob, or possibly, Lillians pet maybe. Anyhow my name is Robert Henderson and my very happy memories of this school, and that period of my life, remains with me even after 40 years or more. I can recall quite a few pupils names that shared this experience with me, such as, Billy Brown, Stephen (ding dong) Bell, Howard Strudwick, Steven Hosking, David Imber, Stewart Hubbard, Gary Collinson, Alan Jago, Christine Jeans, Susan Miles, Ann Jackson (we used to steal a kiss together here and there), Sonia Black, Rita Jennings, to name but a few. Then there was Bill, Lillian, and daughter Joanna Malcolm, together with Maggie (Bills Secretary), who ran the show between them, with Bill at the helm, of course.
I have many fond memories of this period in my life, a fair amount of information and even some dark secrets.
It would be fantastic if anybody actually remembers me, or would just like to seek or share some information or memories.
I have noticed that quite a lot of entries on this site include people seeking contact, but forget to provide their contact info, or a current and up to date Email address, within the message, which is very important, because there dosen’t appear to be any other way of contacting a member, even by a persons membership number, or am I just missing something. ?
So, for anyone who is interested, here is my own contact information
Email address: wh018c1980@blueyonder.co.uk or bob.henderson220@gmail.com or just type (Bob Henderson) Plymouth, into Facebook.
P.s To understand the (great experiment) bit at the top of this message, you need to read and understand among other things, Bill Malcolms Autobiography as written and perceived by John Coleman, who by the way, actually drove across the Andes Mountains, in an Austin Seven, and later wrote a book called Across the Andes In An Austin Seven.
The Dark Secrets: Well ---- That’s another matter.
