My Father served there for a while, retiring a warrant officer 2 in 1962. We lived in married quarters on Englis Rd, in the camp.
I remember playing in the field & woods at the back of the road.
There was a rope swing on a large tree on the rail embankment where my brother broke both his arms. A german war cemetry accross the rail track ( or so I believe ). Stables, RP hut, on one accasion being chased by the RP's for playing on the garage roofs. They were good times. The only pictures I have is of my father, on his army issue bike outside a barrack. The others of him being presented with his long service medal. & talking to the CO.

Hi,
My dad was also stationed at Park Hall in 1955. He did his National Service there. I am looking for any Maps and Photos of this time. He was in the 17th Traing Regiment 40bat (Ray Clift). There was a program on TV some time ago now, That was looking at two men sent from the same Reg as my dad. They were sent to Portadown?( I think this was the place, where there was some sort of testing done) On the program they showed a quick glimse of the group photo of thier passing out parade. This is the photo my dad has but is falling apart and hard to see. Would be great if anyone could remember this or have any other information from this time.
Will up date if I find out anything else.
Regards Fay.

Hi,
My dad was also stationed at Park Hall in 1955. He did his National Service there from November and over that christmas. I am looking for any Maps and Photos of this time. This is the photo my dad has but is falling apart and hard to see. Everyone on the photo shared a billet 15 down each side of the room. You can make out some names where my dad got everyone to sign it. Would be great if anyone could remember this or have any other information from this time.
Will up date if I find out anything else.

My father, Dennis Kidd, from Hartlepool, did his national service at Park Hall 1955-57, 68 (and 17th)regt Royal Artillery. He was in the military police and was a drill instructor. I have photographs of him and his colleagues with the following names: Howard Till; John David; Jeff Rosser; Chris Caroll; Geordie Gray; Rex Horne; Scouse Maloney; Jock McAlpine; Johnnie Spence; David Lye; Jerry Canvin; Scouse Shrigley; Harry Newbold; Billy Kirkwood; Kenny Holmes; Allan "Icky" Heath; Ken Hewison; Jock McCulloch; Mike Lucas; Lofty Lindon; Dave Pullen; Ron Allcock; "Ebb" Hebblewhite; Kenny Hogg; Tony Waddington; Colin Matthews; Alan Scott; Arthur Jones; Georgie Cavell; Billy Turner and Colin Rose. I also have an album of photographs from when Park Hall was being demolished in october 1979. If anyone recognises these names and would like copies of the photographs, please send me a message. I ALSO have the guard room mirror from Park Hall Camp, which my father drove all the way from Hartlepool to Oswestry to buy when the camp was being demolished. I have no provenance to prove it is the genuine article, other than the fact that I was with him when he collected it, so I know it is definitely the real thing. It is in extremely poor condition, but I am reluctant to throw away such a piece of many people's history, so I am looking for a home for it, but whoever wants it must collect it.
